On Angel's
Wings

I share the
following encounter for encouragement to all, and to glorify our Lord.
About
ten months ago, here at ACTS International, we took delivery of a digital,
four-colour photocopier/printer to help supplement our income by giving us more
flexibility to offer on our outside printing services. At that time we were
entering our busy Easter period and I had forgotten to contact our insurance
company to include this $80,000.00 addition to our plant and machinery
cover.
The
following weekend a huge storm hit Adelaide, and as a result, the roof flooded
and water poured into our general office area. When I arrived for work on the
Monday morning, I was confronted with flooded premises right where our new
electronic equipment stood! The machine was completely water-logged. Panic!
We were
informed by the technician that the machine would have to be replaced and we
should contact our insurance company as the new machine would be delivered the
next day and we would have to cover the cost of replacement-their policy was to
dispose of any water-damaged equipment. As there was no insurance cover our
ministry would have been finished and Lynne, my wife, who also works with me,
felt the despair of losing our home.
As
we both prayed for God's help, a number of FGBMFI Adelaide North Chapter members
called in on other business. When they heard of our dilemma, they joined us in
prayer. That afternoon, a friend who is an x-ray technician also 'just happened'
to call in. He removed all the covers on the machine and advised us to place
every blow heater we had around it and leave them running
At
the end of the day the machine still didn't work and we all left with heavy
hearts.I was consumed with guilt, feeling I was responsible for destroying God's
ministry through my own forgetfulness.
Approximately 3.00 am the
following morning I awoke from a heavy sleep to find myself transported in my
spirit our office area, standing before waterlogged equipment. As I watched
angels came down and surrounded the machine. They started beating wings to
create a warm flow through it. The water slowly drier there was not a drop left.
In great excitement I woke Lynne share my experience. We were eager to get to
the office as quickly as possible that morning. We turned on the machine and ten
months later, with service and maintenance contracts back in place, and tens of
thousands of copies printed, our machine is still running-this newsletter is
proof. We praise God for his goodness to us.
Ps. The equipment is now
insured!
